The story behind the print…
The original painting, “I want you, Gorman” was painted for the Gorman brand artist competition… I didn’t win, but I did create my favourite of all time artwork of mine. This piece is so special to me, because it cemented my style.. this piece represents so much to me as an artist and has been long coveted by people offering to buy it! It’s far too special for me to part with….and it’s taken me a long time to work out how to share it. The neon colours don’t exist in archival inks, so a standard print wasn’t going to be bale to give the same energy and vibrancy.
Introducing, hand painted prints. Each print is handpainted by me in my studio, with the same acrylic and gauche paints I used on the original. The result is a unique version of the original. And how can you top that? Well, with a neon pink perspex frame, of course! Ready to hang, 30cm wide and 40cm high. I’M OBSESSED!!!
Very hard to photograph, but a beautiful hot pink…. did you know that bright colours like hot pink release dopamine? We all need more of that!
