Creative Power, Circles & the Feminine: Painting from Alignment By Louisa de Haas

I’ve often felt drawn to ancient symbols and the unseen. For years, I’ve wanted to weave more of that quiet power into my work—but I wasn’t quite ready. After a few years of ill health and feeling like I was drifting, something has shifted. Since my return from India, I’ve been painting from a place of alignment, strength, and creative flow. It feels like a reawakening.

There’s a strong feminine energy pulsing through these new works. Not in an overt or literal way, but in their rhythm, their intuition, and their unapologetic boldness. I’m in my own era of personal power and it’s showing up on the canvas—through vibrant colour, layered pattern, and a trust in where each mark wants to go. I’m painting from a place of knowing rather than searching.

Circles, in particular, keep appearing in my work. I’ve returned to them again and again over the years, always pulled by their symbolism—wholeness, cycles, spirit. In this body of work, they’ve taken on new meaning. They’re not just shapes; they’re containers of energy, soft and strong at once. The combination of neon colour, sacred geometry, and intuitive layering is helping me express what words can’t always hold.

These pieces are deeply personal, but they’re also about something larger—creative alignment, divine energy, and the quiet power that comes from returning to yourself.
